Upper Naranjo River – El Chorro – Class IV

This is the finest whitewater you will find in the area from January though April when the water level is at its navigable best. The starting point on the “Chorro” is located 35 minutes east of Manuel Antonio. Once you pass through a couple of local towns and wind your way into the river valley, the action begins.

This section has sweeping turns around bolders and 3 to 4 foot drops which classify it as lll, IV and IV+. The trip finishes after passing though a mini-canyon with high rock walls.
