Savegre River – Class II-III
About the tour
The starting point on the Savegre River is located 1 hour southeast of Manuel Antonio. After heading south on the coastal highway, the road takes you up through the jungle into the foothills of the Talamanca mountain range. The rapids are class ll and lll and can be enjoyed by the whole family.
One of the many beauties of this river are its deep, swimmable pools. With its many spring-fed tributaries and visible waterfalls, the Savegre is considered the cleanest river in Costa Rica.
